Roma claimed a 1–0 win in the return leg of the 1990–91 UEFA Cup final thanks to a late goal from Ruggiero Rizzitelli, but it was not enough to overturn Inter’s 2–0 first-leg lead.
The home side dominated possession and created several chances, finally breaking the deadlock in the 81st minute. However, Inter defended resolutely to claim the trophy on aggregate.
