Match overview

Roma claimed a 1–0 win in the return leg of the 1990–91 UEFA Cup final thanks to a late goal from Ruggiero Rizzitelli, but it was not enough to overturn Inter’s 2–0 first-leg lead.

The home side dominated possession and created several chances, finally breaking the deadlock in the 81st minute. However, Inter defended resolutely to claim the trophy on aggregate.

Inter lifted their first UEFA Cup despite the defeat on the night.

This match was the second leg of the 1990–91 UEFA Cup final. Despite Roma’s victory, Inter won the trophy with a 2–1 aggregate score.
