Match overview
A cagey semi-final produced few clear chances. Casillas denied Moutinho in the shoot-out, while Bruno Alves hit the bar, allowing Fabregas to clip in the decisive kick and send Spain to a third successive major final.
Trivia
Ramos converted Spain’s first Panenka in a shoot-out since 1976, avenging his famous Champions League miss earlier that year.
