Match overview

Denmark stunned Wembley with Damsgaard’s dipping free-kick, England’s first goal conceded at Euro 2020. A piercing Sterling run forced Kjaer’s own goal to level before extra time, where Kane converted the rebound after Schmeichel saved his penalty. The Three Lions reached their first European Championship Final.

Trivia

Damsgaard’s strike was the first direct free-kick goal of Euro 2020. England became the fourth team to reach a Euro final after winning a semi via an own goal, emulating Yugoslavia 1960, Czechoslovakia 1976 and France 2000.
