Match overview

Brazil came from behind to defeat Uruguay 3-1 in the semi-final in Guadalajara. After Cubilla gave Uruguay a surprise lead, Brazil equalised through Clodoaldo just before half-time. Jairzinho and Rivelino scored in the second half to send Brazil to the final.

Trivia

This match was a rematch of the famous 1950 World Cup decider. Brazil’s win set up a final against Italy.
