Match overview

Germany secured a thrilling 3-2 win over Portugal in the quarter-final of Euro 2008, marking their first semi-final appearance since 1996. Schweinsteiger opened the scoring, Klose doubled the lead just before half-time. Ronaldo pulled one back, but Ballack restored the two-goal advantage early in the second half. Postiga’s late strike made it nervy, but Germany held on.
